Recommendation for new FFM due to pressure ulcer
Anyone know of any FFMs that have headgear that does not pass over the occipital protuberance on the back of the head? I’ve looked online, but that’s not a part of the mask that most manufacturers show.
I’ve developed a pressure sore on the back of my head where the back strap of the Amara View full face mask lies. It’s a spot about the size of a quarter. I used to braid my hair before sleep, and I think that braid being under the strap initiated the ulcer. However, I don’t braid my hair anymore and the sore still won’t go away completely after about a month. I’m a back sleeper with bad shoulders so I can’t sleep on my sides or stomach.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

First, see your GP and show them the wound. You need to make sure it is indeed from the strap and that it is healing correctly.
The Simplus might work for you.
Go to YouTube and search for different masks. They will show you the entire set up.

I don't think the headgear on my ResMed F20 crosses the area on the back of ones skull in that area. Then again, I may be wrong, but I hope I'm not. Best to you on that wound recovery BTW.

I'll definitely check out the ResMed F20. I've heard a lot of good things about it. Thanks!
