I note even in the smart home market Philips is becoming more difficult to deal with when compared to other providers. Possibly it’s time to drop them from your life completely. There’s far better providers in both areas.

Reference to Philips in the recent Email to members
I was astonished that Philips is blocking access to the SD card for CPAP users. I use the newest Resmed CPAP machine as recommended by my Physician and it comes automatically with “My Air” which I can access anytime and run an algorithm to create a complete CPAP report which I can download. It’s super easy and extremely informative. Why doesn’t Philips offer the same ability?

It's more apparent lately that the actual users of Philips Respironics PAP machines are not their treasured customer. Those customers Philips wishes to please are called the various DMEs such as Rotech, Lincare, Apria, et al.

That's been the case for DME fro a long time. ResMed is no different. Neither are the manufacturers of braces, walkers, nebulizers, etc., particularly things that required a prescription They all view the providers/doctors as their customers, not the patients. Want to learn another one? You are not your health insurance company's customer either. You're employer is. That's who negotiates the plan details and options, not you.

The MyAir and Philips Dream Mapper provide very basic and minimally useful data. Download OSCAR and you will get actual useful detailed data from your SD card.

ST Dog,
Only Philips Respironics has blocked user data from the actual user, not ResMed. Your mention of "braces, walkers, nebulizers," has no info to access, except maybe the nebulizer, but my own Pari nebulizer has just an on/off switch so I guess not. My Drive carbon fiber walker has no patient data hidden away. We're not talking insurance. No sale on the excuses for Respironics locking away patient usage data. Thanks for a smoke and mirror attempt at deflecting the poor decision by Philips Respironics, and only PR in this case, to keep patients in the dark.
