Removing a few Therapy Dates from SD Card

Removing a few Therapy Dates from SD Card
I recently purchased a used machine that was used by the previous owner for only a few days. I'd like to remove the data of those few days from the SD Card in the machine. How can this be done?

do you have a computer with a card reader that can reformat the card, or delete the data on the card?

oh i see what you mean now..

you could delete the data in oscar, not sure if modifying the folder structure on the sd card would cause issues. or you could back up the entire sd card somewhere and try to mess with the data see if it works. each date has a folder in DATALOG.

RE: Removing a few Therapy Dates from SD Card
To completely eliminate the previous user's data can be a 2-step process.

For the CPAP, (hopefully) you can perform a total factory reset. There should be an option on your CPAP to reset back to factory defaults.  Copy your current settings before resetting the CPAP, so you will be able to put it back. Also, make sure the SD card is removed from the machine.  Otherwise, its data will be deleted, and you will need it for the step below.

For OSCAR, either purge all the user data, or create a new profile.  Before reimporting the SD card's data, go into the OSCAR Preferences > Import tab.  About mid-screen, you will see the option, "Do not import sessions older than:".  Make sure this option is selected, and then enter the date that you started using this CPAP.  Now, import your data.  This should only display data for you and not the previous user.

Once you have imported the data, and you are satisfied with the results, format the SD card to a FAT32. That should eliminate any traces of the previous user.

If it seems too complicated you could just purchase a new SD card. Make sure it is no more than 32GB. You can find them easily enough at Walmart, etc.

Deb - Even if the OP uses a new SD card, if a factory reset isn't performed, the previous user's data will still be in the summary registry and will be written to the new card.

The Prisma 20A has one button in the clinical menu for "Factory Reset" and one for "Remove Clinical Data." I'm guessing that removing clinical data will get me to where I want to be.
