Requesting help with Clear Airway issues

RE: Requesting help with Clear Airway issues
Thank you Dormeo.

That makes sense.

Are there any other settings that you would recommend on my airsense 11 that I am not currently configured for that may be better?

Also, how many weeks/months is it recommended to see the CA's gradually going down prior to me looking at other alternatives?

I appreciate your response

That was what my thoughts were supposed to reflect on VAuto or ASV. VAuto would be the better answer it seems.

The treatment emergent Central Apnea might taper off between 1-3 months. You decide progressively in a few weeks to a month "are they low enough to accept?". If no then maybe request to get onto the VAuto.
Mask Primer

Positional Apnea

Attach OSCAR, etc.

RE: Requesting help with Clear Airway issues
Thank you Dave, I will heed the advice given here. It is very much appreciated.

Jan 1 was a rough night with an AHI of 14.1.

However, I had a very good treatment last night with an AHI of 2.36, with 2.11 of that being from the CA. Once again pressure set to a constant 13 and zero leaks all night.

Nice to see this recent chart. Bracketing the transition cluster, your AHI was not much more than 1. I agree with Dave that the decline in your CA index may take one to three months. Be aware that CAs are "consistently inconsistent," as some people put it. So just look at the overall trend.

Dormeo, thank you for your insight. I will give it the time and see how it goes from there.

I really appreciate your and everyone else's perspective on this. It is very helpful and encouraging.

It is interesting in that I went from dreading having to use a CPAP machine into having an encouraging and optimistic outlook using it each night largely due to the valuable insight and informative thoughts by the members here. I have a lot to learn, but am encouraged to know there are others here that are willing to give their time and knowledge to help others. So, a huge thank you to everyone who has responded. I truly appreciate your time.

RE: Requesting help with Clear Airway issues
Thanks to the valuable comments and responses by other members to this thread, I went ahead and purchased a used ASV machine due to the CA's being a daily occurrence and not going down while using the AirSense 11. I will keep both machines in case the AirCurve 10 ASV does not offer a solution to this issue.

After using the ASV for the first night, I have created a new thread requesting comments regarding the data observed from the ASV machine. Which went from multiple smaller CA events on the Airsense 11 to a single more prolonged CA event using the AirCurve 10 ASV machine.

Thank you for your time
