ResMed Air Sense if set to no ramp but EPR ramp only ?

is there then *any EPR ?

my machine was set for 1 year to ramp only, after scanning a few entries on this forum, I've turned Ramp OFF,

but confused why then am given the option for EPR ramp only?

and/or possibly I could try it on FULL TIME , but I'm changing many different aspects and causing me a lot of sleep deprivation at the moment.

don't have 1 week of OSCAR data, at stable settings ,  PS: how would one post a week worth of OSCAR graphs/stats? not using images/jpegs?  if one is a new user?

EPR is listed as "Full Time". Posting a week's worth of graphs - You don't. Select a day (or two) that are representative of your therapy and only post them.

I have ramp off, but EPR still allow "ramp only", if I set it to That, *is it ramp only or is EPR actually full time, despite being set to "ramp only" ;

so far there is no representative day to post, maybe there will be eventually.

I'm looking for trends, maybe a weeks worth of trends

If you have the EPR set to Ramp Only and not using the ramp feature, then you will not have any EPR used in your pressure settings. In order to make the EPR active for all conditions, you will need to set it to "Full Time". This will make the EPR value available to both the normal operation and the ramp option, if you elect to use it.

We really need one day OSCAR charts with the charts I have listed in my Signature. (Chart Organization)

Your attachment should look like this.

ok, then on airsense 11 apap, just seems strange that if one chooses "no ramp" that EPR still allows "ramp only" ;

leads me to, if I want EPR but not ramp, then that is NOT possible?

as it would have to be that if EPR is on its either for ramp or full time, but full time will include ramp ,  and I see folks on here generally don't advise to use Ramp .

I attached something from last week, that looks like it was a good night, at the relatively lower settings MD advised after rough overnight sleep study, when 1st hours (which are usually my best) they had me on a Hybrid under nose over mouth Evora mask, mid-way through night I asked for the F20 airfit, I used for 1 year, my 1st year as of Nov, 2024.

I ordered a neck soft collar, and last night started trying to use a chin strap, also rolled up a towel into the pillow case for neck support. Also, put on a new F20 Mask thinking the cushion might seal better fresher , alas, another lost night to learning something (wrong elbow I assume).

Last night I seemed to have used an AirTouch elbow for mask to hose, instead of an AirFit elbow, not sure how that happened, or why I have 3 of this style where there are holes that exhausted air all night, and I had no idea, what was happening till I took a closer look in the morning, sigh ;

You have high flow limits (look at the flow limit chart).   Flow limits are apnea just like o and H events but are not counted in the AHI because they are not long enough (10 seconds min).  But flow limits makes it very hard to get into deep sleep and they can wake you up the other problem is the machine raises pressure to stop them from becoming H or O events.   Take a look now at the pressure chart.  You can see the pressures rise as the machine find flow limits.

To help with flow limits you need to do a couple of changes.

First set your EPR to full time and set EPR 3
increase your min to 7

I'm sure those things will help your sleep.

shall I leave ramp = off ?

can I keep expermenting with AirTouch F20 and F30 F40 hybrid type masks ? I have humidity set to off for now. ; so many variables ; My MD just messaged me he will mail me a copy of my recent overnight sleep study.

Yes, keep Ramp off.

EPR 3 then Full Time. Min pressure 7 to allow EPR 3 to work at the start.

You can post your next OSCAR chart. We can explain what it shows.

Because this thread is related to CPAP usage and therapy, I have moved it to the Main Forum.
