RE: ResMed S9 SD Card Died

There are a dozen sellers on eBay selling brand new ResMed SD Cards, in the ResMed SD Card carrier, for under $15 shipped. (don't pay more!)
I used an SD card from my camera. I formatted it in my computer. It's not a ResMed card. In fact, it's larger, and faster than the one I got--used--when I bought my used S9E.
My ResMed card failed about a month after my DME formatted it without asking. I was miffed.
RE: ResMed S9 SD Card Died
SarcasticDave94, My ResMed supplied 4GB SDHC card came formatted as FAT32. I believe it's the current standard for Flash Storage.
RE: ResMed S9 SD Card Died
There is no need to pay for a resmed card any SD card between 2GB and 32Gb will work fine just buy or find the cheapest you can in your local store

Thanks Jeff8356.
Agreed jaswilliams, any within that size will do. Shop by price.

RE: ResMed S9 SD Card Died
Dave,
Up to a 32 GB is formatted to a FAT32. 32 GB is the maximum address space a FAT32 file structure can handle. Above 32 GB requires an exFAT format. The downside is most CPAPs don't have the ability to read anything other than a FAT32. If you get a 64Gb card, you may have to partition it to a lower size and then format the partition to a FAT32. The rest of the card will be unused.

Copy & thanks on that Crimson Nape. I know I recently attempted to format a 256 GB USB stick on my PC and it defaulted to exFAT. It'll help the AB members to know this too.

Thanks to all. Got the cheapest 16GB card our local variety-type store had and it was plug and play. I've had to be careful to lock and unlock it since my PR machine doesn't need this step.
