The forum software truncates longer web addresses... so if you copy and paste the text part, it only pastes the truncated URL, not the full URL.

In order to correctly copy a long link in a post, you have to right click on the link, then select something like "copy link location" or something similar. Then when you paste the link into a new post, you'll get the full URL, not the truncated one.
