ResScan Access Denied message
Hi,
First post on this board. So I have been using a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet since 20 Feb this year and have been reading the data results with both Sleepyhead and ResScan. This morning ResScan gave me he following message.
"Access denied unable to save/or access patient data please contact system administrator in regards to priviledges."
and Sleepyhead gave only the daily summary with this message
" Please Note This day just contains summary data, only limited information is available "
Does anyone have any idea what has happened? Would sure like to access the charts to see what's going on.
Thanks

Did you by any chance forget to put your SD card in your machine or have it locked for that particular night?
If yes, then all you will get is summary data on SleepyHead. I’m not sure how ResScan handles that.
RE: ResScan Access Denied message
Hi OpalRose,
I won't swear that the card wasn't locked, but it sure won't be tonight. Thanks for your thoughts.
RE: ResScan Access Denied message
Just for reference (for those who don't know about SD card locks, etc.) here's a picture pointing to a standard SD card lock in the "unlocked" position:

RE: ResScan Access Denied message
Well same situation again this morning.
I made sure the SD card was unlocked yesterday but I still have access only to a summary of information from both ResScan and Sleepyhead. I visited the Respiratory Tech yesterday and she assured me they had done nothing to change my access and had not heard of this before. I am wondering if resetting the machine will fix things?
RE: ResScan Access Denied message
Are you sure you have an AutoSet machine as you state in your first post? What does the name on your machine say?
You are using a straight pressure and you profile reads AirSense 10. You may have what we call a “brick”
which will not give you any useful data.
Sorry, I just read your other thread and saw that you do have an AutoSet
Unplug from power source, wait a few minutes and plug back in.
You can also try a new SD card.
RE: ResScan Access Denied message
Morning OpalRose,
Actually I just put a new card in this morning as a "let's see what happens" and yesterday I had the machine into the Tech's office so it was unplugged for a few hours and I still have the same issue today. If the new card works I'll reformat the old one as well. I wish I new how the restriction was applied the Tech I saw had no idea.
RE: ResScan Access Denied message
I'm not a Windows user except on an as required basis, so this could be all wrong...
It occurs to me that you may have installed ResScan as as Owner or Administrator, and you may need to login as that to actually use ResScan. I don't think anybody else has mentioned this, but maybe they always sign in as Owner or Administrator.
Maybe I should install ResScan on my Surface Pro just to see if it works? I really like SleepyHead.
RE: ResScan Access Denied message
I don't recall that option when I did the install of ResScan, but I am not getting access to the data with Sleepyhead either so there is some form of permission protocol written to the SD card I would think.

RE: ResScan Access Denied message
Are you running Windows 10 by chance? Microsoft invoked a security policy which requires all programs to have(buy) a MS certificate in order to run. Can you spell "Extortion"? There is a work-around that I listed in an older post. It involves a bunch of steps to get there though.
Good luck!
