A couple of minutes is unlikely to mess anything up, but if so, you can always turn off that "drying" session within OSCAR - just scroll to the bottom of the left-hand pane with all the stats etc in, and untick the box next to the session you want to hide (or click the session if it's big enough on the bars at the very bottom of the left-hand pane that show how long each session was at a glance. OSCAR will recalculate your stats based on just those sessions. 

This is what I do if I struggle to get to sleep and I know an hour of awake time will seriously throw off everything.

That said, you definitely don't need to wash it every day, and if you're going to, I'd probably go with the two hoses option and shake/hand tap the water out before leaving it hanging, then using the cooldown option to blow some air through, if you want to be sure.
