Resmed Stellar 150 and Sleepy Head software
Good day. I am a first time user, new to CPAP therapy. Having recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea, I started out on a Resmed AirCurve 10 and have recently moved on to a Resmed Stellar 150, more machine than I require but it was provided free of charge. I needed a Bipap ST machine. I am looking to find software to allow me to get a better appreciation of my daily readings. The Sleepy Head software refers to data transfer from SD Cards. My machine uses a Resmed USB stick for data transfer.
Does anyone know if the USB stick will that came with the Stellar 150 will work with the Sleepy Head software? If not, is other software available. Thanks Barry

RE: Resmed Stellar 150 and Sleepy Head software
G'day Barry. Welcome to Apnea Board.
According to the Resmed product brochure https://www.resmed.com/au/dam/documents/...ac_eng.pdf the Stellar works with ResScan software. You can download a copy from our private files and links forum: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Forum-P...-and-Links I know you said you got the Stellar for free, but it seems a strange choice for somebody with sleep apnea - it's really a hospital standard ventilator, and a pretty old design by the look of it. Let us know how you get on with it.

RE: Resmed Stellar 150 and Sleepy Head software
Thank you for your suggestion. I was able to download the ResScan software and put in on my PC. Unfortunately, I use a MAC most of the time and the ResScan software will not work on the MAC. I would have liked to try the SleepyHead software, but I do not think it is compatible with my Resmed Stellar 150.
With regard to the machine, I was actually prescribed a BIPAP ST machine. I had been using the Resmed AirCurve 10 S. With the new prescription, instead of providing the AirCurve 10 ST, I now qualified for a provincially funded program that gave me a new Stellar 150. While the machine is bigger and heavier than what I would have liked, it seems to be doing the job. My problem now is one of portability. I do not see taking this machine on a trip and am starting to look at other options. The travel machines that are available are the right size, but do not have the ST capabilities. While the AirCurve ST is somewhat smaller and lighter, I would likely have to purchase this on my own. Bit of a dilemma, but I am still looking for other options. Barry

Hi. If I don't have a Resmded USB stick, can I download data from the machine in another way?

RE: Resmed Stellar 150 and Sleepy Head software
Good question. I had the Resmed Astral ventilator for only a few weeks, but didn't experiment with the data.
If you do an internet search on, "resmed stellar 150" it should have a link to the clinical manual. The information that you are looking for could be in that online clinical manual.

RE: Resmed Stellar 150 and Sleepy Head software
From page 55 of the manual:
Data management Apart from the data available to view directly on the device, you can view and update data via ResMed's applications that assist with compliance management. These are ResScan and EasyCare Tx. When using ResScan, you can view therapy data as well as change settings on the device. To transfer data between the device and a PC, you can use the ResMed USB Stick. Use EasyCare Tx for the remote display of real-time (live) data and adjustment of settings. For more information, see the PC application's manual. There are two data ports at the rear of the device for connecting a USB stick (see "Stellar 150 at a glance" on page 11). Therapy and device data can be stored on it or read from it. WARNING Do not connect any device to the data ports other than specially designed devices recommended by ResMed. Connection of other devices could result in injury, or damage to the Stellar 150 (see "General warnings and cautions" on page 69). CAUTION Do not disconnect the ResMed USB stick while data transfer is in progress. Otherwise loss of data or incorrect data may result. The download time depends on the data volume. Notes: You cannot connect two ResMed USB sticks simultaneously for data communication. • If data transfer is not possible or failed please read the troubleshooting section. • Do not store files on the USB stick other than those created by the device or application. • Unknown files may be lost during data transfer. 1 Plug the ResMed USB stick to one of the two USB connections on the rear side of the device. The first dialogue for the USB data transfer is displayed automatically on the LCD. The device checks if there is enough memory capacity on the USB stick and if readable data is available. 2 Select one of the available options Read settings • You will be prompted to decide if the device should read the ResScan configuration or the device configuration. The ResScan configuration contains settings changes. The device configuration contains settings of another device. To read the device configuration the device has to be in clinical mode. The device configuration must contain a different serial number. Write settings • Settings of the device will be stored on the ResMed USB stick. Write settings and loggings • Settings and loggings (eg, breath-by-breath data) of the device will be stored on the ResMed USB stick. Cancel • 3 Confirm the data transfer
