SleepHQ data for someone struggling with CPAP

SleepHQ data for someone struggling with CPAP
Hello, been on CPAP for about 3 months now and am not showing much improvement at all. For the first couple of months I was sleeping through the night no problem, AHI was always around 2-3ish, but lately it's been closer to 5 with mostly central apneas. I keep trying to mess with the settings nightly to see which works best for me but I seem to be struggling. Looking for help from anyone. I'm also suffering from pretty bad Aerophagia nightly.

I also have OSCAR data if that would help someone even more.

Here is a few days, I can post more if needed.

My starting AHI was 63, with obstructive sleep apnea. I don't recall them saying anything about centrals but that's basically all I get now.

I see those centrals too, you are moving your epr and pressure around in these, I think you should try constant pressure (with EPR enabled)-it helped with some of my ca events when I swapped over from apap to cpap mode. Set it to 11.6cm cpap mode and set EPR to fulltime at 1, and lets see how you feel after a night or two and check charts.

So I actually did that last night for part of the night, set it to 12 with EPR at 1. Was feeling suffocated and when I woke up my AHI was 5, Central and OSA were both at 1.

Also, for Friday July 12 it looks like my flow rate is crazy all over the place. What would cause this?

What does this look like in the OSCAR charts?

Quite a few pressure swings going on from the flow limitations. It would drive me balmy.

Mode APAP
Min pressure 9
Max pressure 15
EPR 3 full-time
No ramp

That should be more comfortable. Give it a go for a few nights and post a chart or two.

Should that help with my central apneas as well? That seems to be my biggest issue now. Also, I'm waking up 3-4 times a night again, could the pressure swings be why?

You do not have central apnoea, those are clear airways. You basically stop breathing for a brief time while moving around. Totally normal.

Whether it will help with sleep quality we will not know until you try it. Not all sleep problems are resolved by CPAP, some are just poor sleep hygiene.

Hmm. My CPAP on the machine says that i'm getting central apneas when I go to Sleep View. Is that the clear airways it's picking up instead?
