I've tried similar devices (mandible advancement device). They can work. They didn't advance far enough to work in my case. And they can really screw up your teeth (made mine hurt).
An easy way to tell if this might work: 1. close your mouth and breath through your nose 2. lower your head until your airway is cut off (look down) 3. advance your lower jaw without opening your mouth until you can breath again If your airway isn't shut off when you lower your head, this mandible advancement type device won't work at all. If you have to advance your lower jaw more than a 1/4" or so, this type of product won't work for you. Hope that helps. Tom |
