I'm fairly new - started using CPAP in April, 2024. With much help from the generous people on this board, I finally have a system that is working well, and the SomnoSeal is a crucial element. I'm surprised that it hasn't been reviewed yet, and there are few references to it in the main board.
I'm using the Bleep Dreamports, which are comfortable and do not leak at all. I was having major problems with mouth leaking, though, which I was not able to solve with mouth taping (tried multiple types of tape). I'm using kinesiology tape, completely covering my mouth, but I still had significant leaking.
For the last few weeks, I've been using the SomnoSeal: https://www.somnoseal.com/ I now have absolutely zero leaking - none at all. I've posted Oscar results in my (very long) therapy thread. I do have to tape over it, although another person who posted about the SomnoSeal does not have to use tape. It caused drooling at first, but this stopped within a few days. I left my SomnoSeal behind last week when I was traveling, and I am still waiting for the new one to arrive. I've been double-taping (two layers of kinesiology tape) and using a cervical collar (needed for positional issues), but still have some leaking. The SomnoSeal seems to be the only way for me to stop it completely.
One other thing - for some reason, when I use the SomnoSeal I have no problem at all with dry mouth. With the double-taping/collar, I wake up with an incredibly dry mouth - not sure why this is happening, but for me it's another advantage of the SomnoSeal.
