Hi napnaptime... There seems to be a number of us that are still tired even with good data and hours of sleep. I am actually worse fatigue wise on CPAP...I can barely function and get through my days on coffee in the morning, modafinil in the afternoon and a glass of wine or a beer around 5pm to get through cooking supper. I was in to see my GP this week, just ordered major blood work and get to see internist and rheumatologist in the next while. Recently saw my third sleep doc, thought she was going to be good, but seems to not know what is wrong either, but did admit that feeling this bad on CPAP is not good. My intuition is that, for me, I have a combination of brain damage from sleep apnea and issues from poor health in childhood, PTSD from childhood bullying/abuse and an unconscious dislike of the mask on my face and the air being feed to my lungs. There is an old piece of "wisdom" from Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame, "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." I am just getting to the point of realizing and accepting that the doctors do not know what ails me, so I need to look elsewhere...to my improbable... I hope that you keep looking and that you will find your improbable... all the best, Storywizard

I too believe that part of my mind has gotten injured, my memory being is so bad I have no idea now what I did this morning or anything previous to that, there is partial hope for me with Sertraline, some of this I reckon is through neurogenesis but it turns me into a horrible person, some days I wonder is it better that I die in my sleep than see myself become this person because I am a very moral man? In a few days I am going to go on a years trial of Sertraline to see if it can heal me permanently and hopefully the results will stick when I come off it.

Hi napnaptime,
What about your Vitamin D and B levels? If low, I suggest you watch Dr. Stasha Gominak's videos. Just posted a thread about this, link is here. Hope you are better now and will get even better soon.

My bloods were tested and everything was normal. I have tried supplementing with Vitamin D but it just makes me feel sick.

If you see it going up and down a lot your problems may be caused by mouth-leaking. If a chin strap doesn't get it under control try a full face mask. I had the same symptoms as you and this is what finally worked for me.
