Suddenly Oscar not working

I got a new laptop about a year ago. Installed the latest version of OSCAR and it's worked perfectly since - till today. I launch it, it begins to open. I see the opening screen for about 1-2 seconds, then it just quits.

I first tried reinstalling it - no joy.
Rebooted my laptop - no joy.
Then I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it again - no joy.

The only thing I changed lately was my Windows 10 firewall settings. So common sense tells me to turn off the firewall and see what happens - no joy.

Any ideas?

Crisis averted!

I remembered that I also downloaded a new video driver. So I implemented the suggested registry change:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OSCAR_Team\OSCAR]
"GFXEngine"=dword:00000002

And it worked!

At least so far. I'll give it a week and if it's still OK then I think the problem is solved.
