ITCH: No rainout, no condensation
Dear Apneaboard members,
Has any of you have experience with the following:
From time to time due to skin inside of my nose getting sore I need to switch from my pillows (brevida) to my nasal (eson 2) and whenever I'm wearing the nasal mask, I develop an itch in and outside the nostrils. Inside the nostrils can be partly explained by sore skin healing from using the pillows, outer nose my theory is small micro hairs. During daytime I have no itchyness, my nose gets itchy if my room gets dusty though.
So then I inspected the filter, and it was due for a change after 4 weeks of use, however when I grabbed a new filter (standard disposable resmed filter) I noticed it releases these little hairs if I tap it with my fingers (straight from a sealed packaging so can't be collected dust), could it be these little shits causing the itch madness in my nose?
fwiw I don't suffer from rainout or condensation, mask is nice dry and warm whilst humidity has alternated from 1 to 4 all not helping that much.
