Help reading OSCAR data to ensure I am receiving the best treatment
Hello everyone,

First time poster here. I would like some help analyzing my OSCAR data to ensure I am receiving the best data. I wanna make sure I am using the right pressure, correct masks, and anything else that may be helpful in me knowing to improve my sleep. Thank you so much!

RE: Help reading OSCAR data to ensure I am receiving the best treatment
Welcome to Apnea Board!

I see a couple things... one is the leaks.  They aren't major, but looks like you might be mouth breathing or your jaw drops open at night and allows air to escape.  Something to be aware of.

Also your minimum pressure might be a bit low.  I would adjust the minimum pressure to start at 8cm and start using EPR.
The use of EPR will aid in decreasing Flow Limitation, Hypopnea and Rera.   However, it could also raise Clear Airway events, which we will watch for.  I would set the EPR at 2 and see what effect this has.

One question:  Did you have a sleep study and did Central apnea show up?

When you repost, please use the link in my Signature Line to guide you in setting up/organizing a chart.

For starters, we don't need to see all the graphs.   The following graphs are needed:  Events, Flow Rate, Pressure, Flow Limitation and Leak Rate.   If we need to see more, we'll ask.   Smile

Follow these directions for setting up a chart and taking a Screenshot to upload here:

Make sure that your display is set to the Standard view, your graphs are in the default order, and all graphs are of the same size.
 If not:
  * To reset the Default Graph Order:  Go to (View > Reset Graphs > Standard)

  * To reset Graph Heights:  Go to (View > Reset Graphs Heights)

1. Resize the Daily screen's left panel's width, so each channel parameter only uses one line and does not wrap the data.  This allows more information to be displayed.

2. Make sure you are at the top of the Daily screen and have not scrolled down.  Also, make sure you are displaying the complete day's data, and not zoomed in to any specific time range.

3. Once organized, take a screenshot of your Daily screen, select one of the following:

  * For Windows or Linux: Use the F12 key
  * For a Mac: While holding down the Fn key, press the F12 key.
