Would you mess with pressures or anything?

RE: New to therapy, not going well
You have reduced your AHI about 70% in just a couple days time, and you can expect that things will continue to settle. Your maximum pressure does not even reach 8.0, so you appear treated at relatively low pressures, effectively 6.0 to 8.0. I think give this some time before making any decisions on changing. You are still adapting to the therapy, and the current range appears to work pretty well. If you want to reduce the maximum pressure in your range, it will have no effect, as long as it is above 8.0.

For discussion sake lets say I can't get the CA any lower, what would my next therapy possibly be?

Truthfully as long as your AHI is below 5 your considered treated. So there's not much else that can be done. However if your CA events start increasing over 5 AHI you probably would be looking at a ASV machine down the road.

I have the opportunity to buy a new Resmed  S9 VPAP™ ST with H5i™ 36018.
Would this be the model that I would need or would I need a different one. Also would you buy an old model or a new model?
This is all very overwhelming to a newby.

Teh S9 VPAP Adapt is ASV. The ST is a fixed bilevel machine with a timed backup capability. With the ST you get the pressure support necessary to cause a breath with every breath, whether it is spontaneous or timed. The ASV can provide adaptive pressure support in the amount you need, when you need it. Considering your progress over a short period of time, I would give this a chance to settle down before making any decisions.

I will give this some time for sure. I'm trying to get a handle on all the different machines and their specific purpose. I never realized how complex this all is.

Thank you. Time will tell. It would take too long to post my last months therapy but in a nut shell my AHI is all over the map from under 2 to over 12 but the average has been climbing as a result of CA's. Last night was first night with epr shut off and was a lot better so I am hoping this will get better. It is a very steep learning curve so I hope folks here don't get too annoyed with my constant questions.
