[Treatment] Snoring loud but not apnea

15 years ago I had apnea. I used a dental snore guard and did fine. Due to sone dental bridge issues I can't use it. I had another sleep study and I don't have apnea. 
What can work for snoring for me?

That seems odd. I thought snoring was a precursor to apnea. One of the experts will come along soon to help you.

I'm confused.  You're bio says you're using a BiPAP machine, yet you were using a snore guard. Maybe you own it but you don't use it perhaps.  You mentioned having apneas 15 years ago, as a result of a sleep study.  Are those details still easily available for you?  Were you diagnoised with light, medium or severe sleep apnea?

You also said you did fine with a dental snore guard.  Was it a home do-it-yourself device, or done through a dentist?  My knowledge of them is that they can open the breathing up a little.  A possible 'cure' for 'light' sleep apnea perhaps, or a reduction for 'moderate' and possibly 'severe' users.  Of course, it would be interesting to have a sleep study with the mouth guard to know the real impact for you.  Rather than having eliminated all apneas, it may have just reduced them for you, as measured by getting a better sleep and reduced noise indicated by one's significant other.

Fast forward 15 years and an updated sleep study showed no apneas at all.  Wow.  I know that weight reduction can reduce apneas for those who may be overweight.  If it wasn't that, what would make your diagnoised sleep apnea go away 15 years later?  Of course, changing one's sleeping position can help too (side vs. back).  Other than that, I can't help but question the sleep lab's results as to how your sleep apnea is no longer measurable.  Did you go to a lab or use a take-home monitoring device?  

Leaving all the above aside, I'm told that there are many dentists that can fit basic devices.  You'd need a specialist for the more advanced dental appliances.  Their offerrings have grown in the past 15 years.  I'm guessing that you're wanting a simple device for a few hundred, rather than an advanced dental appliance for a few thousand.

My moderate apnea was helped with a home made dental appliance and it seemed to stop when I lost weight. Unless I tape my mouth I am a loud as ever. My old study is not available. I can't wear a dental device at this time.
