[Treatment] William E Johnson - Therapy Thread

RE: Need help with setting pressures
Last night I set the pressures to 12.6-16 and wearing a collar. I went to sleep lying on my right side. I had a bathroom break during the night. When I turned the unit off the unit said that the AHI at that point was 1.6. When I returned to bed I spent the rest of the night between lying on my left side and back. When I wake up the AHI is 5.36. Flow limits are way off. Dont know if its the collar, too tight, too loose. Any ideas.

Hi William,

I've merged your two threads.  Keeping your history in one thread makes it a bit easier for those that wish to advise, without having to do a search for prior charts and advice.

I've renamed it to William E Johnson - Therapy Thread

Going forward, please use this thread.   Thanks!  Smile

Well, your reports were better using single pressure.  Which way did you feel better?  If you feel better with the single pressure, then try returning to single pressure again, but this time use apap mode and set your pressure at 13 - 13.  This will cause us to see more on your report.

Also, it would help if you set up your chart a little differently.  Please list the following items in the order given:  Event Flags, Flow Rate, Pressure, Leak Rate, and Flow Limits.  Make sure we can see all of the Flow Rate data and to the very bottom of the Flow Limits.  Thanks!

Still using a collar. Have changed from fixed to apap settings. I have attached latest data. Is there anything I should do to the current settings?

You said you had a collar - you did cut down positional apnea in previous nights but it is back again.  Did you wear it that night. If so it must not have been adjusted correctly.

Positional apnea is making up most of your event last night.

No way I can tell with charts. Only can tell if it is positional apnea or not.
