Trying to experiment with CPAP pressure after 6 months of APAP
I have my ResMed APAP machine set to a pressure of 10-12 with EPAP -3. I have posted OSCAR charts on here recently and was told that all looks good, therapy is working, now just have to find comfort. Great position to be in so not complaining but would like to optimize my comfort. After trying about 10 masks in 6 months I've finally found one that I like. However, I still wake up feeling a little stressed and tired and I have a hunch that it is because I am subconsciously sensitive to the changing pressures throughout the night (with some additional outside stressors). I am considering a trial run of CPAP to see if that is indeed the case but trying to decide to what pressure to use. My median pressure is roughly 10.6 per night (average is about 11.2). I tried a CPAP at 11 last night and it was too much pressure to handle (events were still low at .5, all CA). I'm thinking about trying CPAP at 10 tonight but open to any suggestions...or is this a trial and error sort of deal? Has anyone else felt this way about APAP vs CPAP? Thanks

To My limited knowledge and experience trial and error works .. I have been tweeking My AS 11 one change at a time .. Try it for a few days .. Keep what works go back from what doesn't .. Comfort, Feeling Good, and Alert Days more so then AHI numbers should be the goal .. Folks on Apnea Board stress this when adjusting CPAP, APAP, or more advanced machines .. Good Luck

Ok thanks. I am always under 1 event per hour...I would be fine with 2-3 and more comfort for sure
