[Equipment] mask cleaning

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I am just curios on what people use to clean their CPAP masks. I have heard using the wrong materials can warp the mask and cause leaks. I am sure their are cheaper methods then the wipes found on CPAP websites.

I was told by my unit supplier to use warm water with a small amount of Dawn dish detergent. He said use only Dawn because it was milder than the others. Hope this helps.

Use Dawn Liquid every morning on the nasal pillows.
The rest of mask and hose get cleaned once a week.

I took my mask and hose into the shower with me and dribbled some Dawn over it.
