RE: Feature request for Mac [OSCAR installation]
I just took a sneak peek at the .rtfd, nice job! That should help some current/future Mac users.....
If you need someone to test the compiled version prior to release, shoot me a PM/Email. Be happy to help...

Arie, you're going to need to figure out the new instructions for building the .dmg with Qt Creator, since the old instructions just run "macdeployqt" and don't run the new script.
...
Done that. Works fine, but needs a bit of tuning. Will let you know later.

My mother-in-law used to make that, but she has since passed away. Haven't had an "oily ball" in years.

I'll think of you when I eat one
Here is my Environment setting for deploy:
[attachment=18479]
I'd like to add another TODO to the script:
# 3. Add -verbose=3 to macdeployqt, as deploying takes time where nothing seems to happen. I cannot find where to put this in the script...
And you should make the explanation more generic, mine are:
Executable: /Users/arieklerk/Developer/OSCAR-code/oscar/scripts/create_dmg
Arguments: OSCAR OSCAR.app /Users/arieklerk/Developer/OSCAR-code/Building/MacOS/README.rtfd
Working directory: /Users/arieklerk/Developer/OSCAR-code/build-oscar-Desktop_Qt_5_12_5_clang_64bit-Release

RE: Feature request for Mac [OSCAR installation]
When you run macdeployqt from the command-line, you do see a "......." progressing as it writes. Does it not do that when you run it from Qt Creator?
Also, how/where did you set the QT_BIN environment variable? I don't see it in your screenshot.
