I'm considering switching to the ResMed. I'm not happy with the Dreamstation's humidification but everything else works well. So yeah a lot of different variables...Thanks in advance.

Wait for Phillips Recall or Go to Doc?
I'm currently using the Phillips Dreamstation. I submitted the recall documentation, received a confirmation email, then heard nothing back. Should I wait for Phillips to contact me? Or should I try and get a replacement through my doctor? I have no clue how long I will have to wait.

RE: Wait for Phillips Recall or Go to Doc?
I could not sleep without a cpap. I would get a resmed as soon as possible. Ask the Dr. to write a specific Rx with the resmed S10 Autoset. the Autoset is the key word - it is the top machine in cpap they make. There are many others but they are not as good and to not give data you can use.

Me? I'd call doc and discuss the Respironics recall and request getting a ResMed to replace it.

Pre recall I was very much in favor of ResMed for therapeutic reasons.
The detailed data on the DS2 is encrypted which means it is unavailable to you and OSCAR. That means that for me a DS2 is a total no-go. The OSCAR team is still working on it but we are not, even internally, forecasting when it may be available. IMHO get a ResMed A10 or A11 AutoSet

RE: Wait for Phillips Recall or Go to Doc?
I agree with the others. I was on an older Philips machine and used a Dreamstation 1 too for a while a couple years ago. I will spare you the details of why I went back to my older machine after 2.5 months on the DS1).
I got the ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset earlier this week and have now slept 3 nights with it. I had high expectations as it's hyped as the best and it's exceeding all of them. I have better numbers, it's more comfortable to use than even the DS 1 and its data in Oscar is more complete and detailed. Plus, it's absolutely dead quiet as near silent. I also feel better overall despite going through a stressful period (for reasons unrelated to my sleep APNEA or therapy). My only therapy related struggle right now is finding the mask that will replace my third Resmed Activa LT which is no longer made... Trying a new one tonight. But the Airsense 10 is just fantastic for me.
