I wouldn't bother buying a new hose, just be patient... Assuming you are getting this through insurance, check w/ your supplier, but most seem to cover a certain amount of replacement supplies based on time. Just call the supplier about once a month and ask them to send you whatever you are eligible for.... You will have more than enough gear in a few months.
I'd agree with the mask-fit as others have suggested, or even not worry about it over-much, as a few drops of water (as long as it is very few and they are small) won't do you any harm, though they might be uncomfortable... ex-Gooserider
Wheelchair using Paraplegic - T5, Very hairy face, breath via both nose and mouth, so need full face mask.
