OK, thanks. All the advice has been helpful. Guess I will call Aetna tomorrow. There are several DME's here, but not much to tell me which is best. Hope the first CPAP/mask works great, and I live happily ever after. Doubt it.

Focus on getting the best machine that’ll suit. Make a mini list of reasons. Have the doc prescribe exactly that machine per the mini list of reasons.
Then start preparing for DME machine pick up appointment so there’s no chance they’ll rip you off. ‘Cos they’re likely to try.

You can use web search such as Google to read DME reviews for those in your area. You can ask here as well.

Makes me wonder if "ripping off others" is a DME job descriptor, requirement, or otherwise preferred trait.
