afternoon ahi compared to night ahi

I get tired during the day so i take a nap while napping for about an hour to a hour and a half my ahi according to dreamware app is like 45  I have consistently been getting 8 hours ofgreat sleep and my ahi is like .7 to 2.7 Why the difference from afternoon to night and is there a way to delete the afternoon result

You cannot delete the afternoon sleep from the machine data, ahi can be higher for some patients during sleep transition known as sleep wake junk with a shorter sleep period the effect will be larger. What type of events are you having ?

You will tend to get more extreme results during a nap because of the shorter sleep time. Any event during a one hour sleep period will have a greater impact on AHI than if it occurred during an eight hour sleep period.
