tiredteacher- OSCAR analysis
Hi Everyone,
I just put an SD card in my AirSense 10 for the first time and was wondering if anyone would mind looking over the data from last night. I used a F20 full face mask and my machine is on the settings the (unhelpful) doctor put on the machine. It was my first night using the f20. I previously used the f40 and f30i which I still have but I quit using due to leaks from the side of my mouth that were waking me up. I sleep primarily on my stomach and I think the pillow was pushing them up.
Thanks for any insights you can share:
Here is the only other Oscar chart I saw. I couldn't put in first post.
Overall it does not look too bad. I suggest for the moment trying to reduce the pressure swings and working on comfort.
Try the following:
Mode APAP
Min pressure 10
Max pressure 14
EPR 3 full-time
No ramp
That should help with a few things. First, the rapid pressure increase from flow limitations. Second, the snoring whilst under pressure. Third, it should hopefully be more comfortable overall.
Note you may bump up against the lowered max pressure, but that is part of the learnings as well. I am hoping the additional EPR will help with that, but we shall see.
Give that a go for a few nights and let us know how things work and feel.
I have not changed my settings yet. I ordered a cpap pillow that arrived yesterday. I tried it for one night and this was the results of last night with the F20 mask.
Would you recommend the same change based on the data in those charts? I plan to change the settings tomorrow (weekend) so I don't have to stress if I don't sleep as well.
I liked the cpap pillow and plan to continue using it. I sleep on my stomach all night and I had a noticeably better time with the mask not moving/leaking.
