First night, don't know what to expect

First night, don't know what to expect
Hi all,
First full night with my AirCurve 10 ASV. By stating that I guess you already know I have CSA. MyAir app score says 94/100. That sounds good but I hardly slept. Air blowing out my mouth woke me up all through the night. I even put tape on my mouth as one vid recommended but then I woke up as a result of swallowing more air. Swallowed a lot of air and felt bloated and belching this morning. I'm exhausted! I used the initial settings Min EPAP 4.0 and Max 15.0 and the machine is set to auto adjust. Using a Siesta nasal mask 3B, seemed comfortable enough. Had to get up for the bathroom and just took the mask off so it shows a an air gap there. I've uploaded my data. When am I going to get some sleep? Wasn't that the whole point of me getting this device?
Thanks in advance,
Truly "Sleepless in Seattle"

RE: First night, don't know what to expect
Your results are pretty good for a first night and leaks were the biggest problem, but not out of control. It will help if you substitute the leak graph for the tidal volume. Based on this first night of results we could reduce some of your pressure settings and perhaps make you more comfortable. Second, I strongly recommend you try a Resmed P10 nasal pillows mask to reduce mask movement from pressure changes and silence vented air.

If you want to try alternative pressure settings, use EPAP min 5.0 EPAP max 6.4, PS min 3.0 and PS max 10.0. I’m certain you will feel a difference but should still realize good efficacy.

So I did change the settings, however you recommended to change four settings and my machine only offered three: EPAP 5 (there is no Min or Max), Min PS 3, Max PS 10. I was able to get the P10 nasal Pillow and use it Thursday and Friday night. Unfortunately, I forgot to reinsert the sim card. When I put it back in, this was the only info I could retrieve. I didn't sleep well Thursday night as the air pressure was still too much and continued to cause me to swallow more air or blow out my mouth. So I lowered the pressure to 8 last night. As you can see I had more than twice the number on AHI after using the P10 and changing the numbers. I felt Like I woke up fewer times the last few nights but certainly still very tired. Sim card is reinserted and I will send more details on the next night. Any recommendations till then?

The additional settings become available when you select Mode = ASV auto. This allows EPAP to automatically increase or decrease based on obstruction.

Hi again Sleeprider,
So I put it in auto mode with the numbers you recommend. Using the P10. very little air blowing out my mouth, but certainly very tired. AHI is up quite a bit from the first night. I don't know what to make of this. What additional recommendations do you have?
Thank you in advance.
