I got a question. I use a resmed vpap s with humidity controls . seems that when I get up to go to the bathroom or anything I feel DIZZY for a few steps. Is that common? Just asking

Sometimes CPAP use will cause inner ear issues.
However, there are other conditions that also cause it. One is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (aka POTS) where when a person stands from a sitting position, (or sits up quickly when laying down) there's a blip in the blood pressure which causes dizziness. In other words, go see your doctor.

As Paula aid see the doc ... maybe or not cpap related
while back at times felt dizzy when getting up from sitting down ..almost feeling like going to pass out for a few sec my doc mentioned about lower blood pressure and he said something its better lower than higher. he referred me to the cardiologist, did all the test and nothing really serious ... just the old ticker getting passed use by date

A lot of things change when you do CPAP after having untreated apnea. Blood pressure, oxygen, CO2 levels, hormones, brain waves, sleep architecture, etc. It wouldn't be surprising if you are a little light headed at first.
You might try getting up a little slower. Sit on the edge of the bet for a few seconds before standing. It could be ear problems or other things, too, of course.

It does make my ears POP just like going up a hill in the car... Just after turning it on.

Guess what my dizziness is???
I have diabetes also. Always trying to keep my blood glucose # down. All of a sudden at certain times of the day I am hypoglycemic? LOW BLOOD SUGAR!! who would of ever figgured a swch like that? just anothe hurtle

Yeah, my diabetes is like that. When they finally caught the glucose level as high, it was 235 after a 12hr fast. BUT, my A1c was just 4.7, which is below normal. The doctor's theory is that I have really high spikes but equally low drops.
So we started me first on metformin, the usual medication. Except it made the swings worse. It was awful. After a year of this and about to bang my head into the wall, a new doc (I switched GPs) suggested another medication, Actos. And I love it. No more drops and no more spikes. Well, unless I do something stupid like eat potatoes. The thing that helped me back when I was first diagnosed is I went to see a registered dietician. Not a nutritionist. The dietician was able to teach me about what foods do and don't do, how to plan meals and figure out portions, and how to adapt all this to my lifestyle. The biggest change we made was I don't eat regular breakfast anymore. I eat the stereotypical lunch meal when I first get up. I eat 3 meals (sensible means portion control) and 3 protein snacks. And my late night snack is a bowl of cereal. Yeah, I'm a little backwards. I lost weight for a while then a family emergency ruined that. I've not been able to get back into it since and regained the weight. I'm trying again. It's not that I eat too much, it's that I don't eat real meals. I'm trying to get myself back into the 3 sensible meals and 3 snacks. That's it. Yeah, it's another thing to keep track of but it's just part of the package deal life gave me.
