Thanks Sleeprider for directing me to this thread. I have very similar problems and will be re-visiting the soft cervical collar as well. I have one, just kind of hate it. I'll probably wear it during the day and see if it will break in and feel more comfortable. And I'll probably also look at changing to a different pillow too.
Many other "things" going on right now, so I will probably have to table these endeavors for now and work on them in a week or two.
