RE: leaks,leaks, and more leaks
Like you I had terrible leaks, and tried the same things as you chin strap, (which by the way pulled in the wrong direction,), so no good, and tried cervical collar, cervical pillows, and 2.5 and 5 cms mictopore tape. Didn't understand why the latter did not work.
The reason? Well the air was tracking along a crease on the sides of my mouth. I then experimented with using 5cms tape. (The 2.5cms was far too narrow to cover the leaking zone).
I found the positioning was important to be fixed only just above to upper lip, so the maximum width of tape was available below the lower lip. This cost me 6 months of trial and error, and great discomfort.
Leaks fixed now after this discovery. My machine's algorithm now is able to do its job properly.
Hope this helps...
RE: leaks,leaks, and more leaks
I use an Resmed F20 FFM … a mouth breather even in the daytime. Never seem to get enough air through the nose. I also use a liner. How do you train oneself to not breath through your mouth?
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. --Confucius
RE: leaks,leaks, and more leaks
I was able to do that for many years. Now I'm older.
So I use
* tape, or
* chinstrap, or
* Knightsbridge Dual Band Strap
I've gone back to using the Knightsbridge Dual Band strap. I have to be very careful putting it on. But it solves my issues when I do that.
