Hi guys,
 
I just started using Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset. Please see below OSCAR data over the last 3 days. I have used 3 different settings for min pressure, 8, 9 and 10. I felt ok when I woke up however I only slept around 5 hrs each night. Also the most frustrating part is that I would wake up at 4 am each night and struggle to fall asleep. Each night I would go to toilet 2-3 times. 
 
Each night I had 1 glass of red wine. My sleep specialist said this is ok. What are you thoughts about this? 
 
Your thoughts on the OSCAR data would be much appreciated.

I like the 10 min as that reduced your flow limitations. That said what really matters here, as all 3 are more than acceptable, is how they feel for you, looking more at comfort than any numbers.

Thanks so much! They all feel acceptable to me. 
 
Could you please explain how you can tell that I have flow limitations?

Also is it possible to tell from the graphs that I would have apnea and issues without the machine? I am just not convinced that my sleep study results (level 2) were accurate because the 1st sleep study (level3) didn't show I had apnea.

Also mate do you see any reason why I always wake up around 4am? 

Any thoughts about a glass of wine at night?

Just looking at your 95% Flow Limit stay and your Flow Limit chart.

One of the hardest things to do is to stop chasing numbers.

Before even looking at your numbers ask yourself how do I feel? What symptoms do you have?

Awesome, thanks so much!

Its the first week for me and I feel like I am already used to sleeping with CPAP. Last night I went to toilet only once, which is pretty rare for me. Normaly I go to toilet 4-5 times. I hope this can last.

Sorry to ask so many questions mate! I would very much appreciate your thoughts on these graphs (I have posted them in the post above). Last night I had CAs, hypopneas and also OAs. I have zoomed in at each of those events. What concerns me is the irregular breathing patterns, not just during the events but way before them too.

Is this of any concern and is there anything different I should be doing?

Why do I keep waking up at 4am?
Hi guys,

I was diagnosed with a moderate sleep apnea (AHI = 16.2). Please see attached the sleep study results. The main reason I did a sleep study is because I was waking up 4-5 times a night (every single night) to go to the toilet.

I started wearing my CPAP machine about a week ago. I noticed that I have been waking up twice a night on average, which is an improvement. However I still often wake up around 4am and then struggle to fall asleep. Please see attached the OSCAR data, zoomed in at around 4am (when I actually woke up). Is it possible to determine (based on the attached OSCAR data and the sleep study) the actual reason why I woke up at 4am last night?

Your help would be much appreciated.
