Interesting.
Taking a break from the FitLife for a while and
I am trying out a Quattro FX with an under chin retaining strap I made from a 1" wide velcro strip.
My problem with that mask was having it ride up at night and it would let my lower jaw pop out with
much air-escaping fanfare!

I put a stop to that!

I also clean the sealing surface and paint it with an Avery permanent glue stick. (water based/non-toxic/acid free/etc)
Horrors! It works!
Leaks are just about zero now and no slippage.

I find it helpful to have reference marks on the straps to make incremental adjustments accurately and maintain symmetry of the straps.



It's smart to determine the true center point before doing any layout marks. YMMV so make your own marks accordingly.

We can only wonder why the manufacturers wouldn't be so kind as to put some reference marks on the straps. God know they're expensive enough to justify some little convenience like that.

btw, After you get your mask adjusted and working well, record the overall length of the straps, from buckle to buckle, so you can know if it has stretched or otherwise changed if/when things turn sour on you. Mine is 16" as shown below, measured from buckle to buckle.

I also suggest using Pampers wipes rather than daily washing of the mask cushion or using the overpriced mask wipes sold to the unsuspecting masses. Wash weekly maybe but not daily. The Pampers wipes leave a slightly tacky residue of aloe Vera which helps keep the mask from sliding around and makes it seal better. It also may help if you have allergic reaction to the silicone but I can't guarantee that since I'm not allergic. Pampers have no ill effects on the life of the cushions.
