If you have plain vanilla obstructive sleep apnea, then yes - it's a good machine. Perhaps not as good as the equivalent Resmed AutoSet but it will definitely get the job done. Typically Philips machines respond a little slower than Resmed, so your minimum pressure may need to be set a bit higher.

Once you have a few nights under your belt, upload some OSCAR daily screenshots and we'll be able to comment in more detail.

RE: new CPAP machine
Don’t forget to order the Clinicians Manual for your new machine if you haven’t already done so.

I haven't read the Clinicians Manual for the Dreamstation myself, but I wonder if it may have a setting that is described in the manual that can be changed to give the detail you're looking for.

The ResMed AirSense 10 has a setting that I learned about in the Clinicians Manual that makes it display a lot more information on the screen.

RE: new CPAP machine
im a bit cautious of using the clinician menu as its a new machine and i have to go through the compliance period for my insurance to cover the cost of the machine. the last thing I need is the DME, dr., or insurance to get upset over me changing settings. I will ask my dr. to adjust the setting when i go in for an appointment.
