I have solved my leakage into my eyes by wearingmeyevshields. A supposed Dr. on-line in this forum Said I should never wear an eye shield. Can anyone tell us why? Many people wear eye shield to block out light. What difference does it make if you are wearing a CPAP? Please enlighten me on this one.

I see no problem with an eye shield per se... however, if the shield is one that is large enough to cover the upper portion of one's nose, it could interfere with a nasal mask making a proper seal around the nose, causing unacceptable leaks.

That would be the only issue I could think of.

Many people with nasal masks keep a spare full-face mask for when they have a full-blown nose cold and can't breathe through their noses comfortably.

Next question - I have a Fischer & Paykel Omni. Does the water holder's top come off?? I have tried, but I am afraid of breaking it.
