Not having any extended medical insurance the full cost is on me.
My gut was telling me that these were sale tactics and immediately got defensive. (not as mind foggy as i thought).
so let the learing begin, this website has vast amounts of information to digest and help me by starting with the choice of machine.

As staceyburke said You need to determine what level of machine You need ..
If You can down load a copy of Your sleep study minus personal information
That will help to pick the proper machine ..
Then suggest good starting settings ..
Resmed supports OSCAR and is the favorite machine here .. You have the choice of
two resmed lines AS 10 or AS 11, AS 10 is the out going line there are good sales
and prices to be had .. AS 11 is the new line of equipment, slightly more compact ..
They both use the same algorithms but use different blower motors and electronics ..
Do Your own research !!
Then down load OSCAR and post a couple nights of charts .. Then update settings
based on that ..
