Surprised
oops!
well, after 8 weeks with minimal results - the sleep specialist has set my pressure to 14 straight cpap. Citing my (frequent) 'adjustments' as the cause of my poor results and insomnia. I feel like a naughty child being sent to the headmaster's office....

He didn't want to know about the night I actually slept 8hrs and got a AHI under 5 (APAP 6-8)...

As the Borge would say "resistance is futile!".....

Oh, well... onward on this journey

RE: oops!
In what part of the world do you live, Sleeeppp? Well you were being a naughty child Big Grin if you have been changing your settings **frequently**! He/she still should have taken a look at your good result but it would not have meant much if it was only one night. Frequent adjustments do not cause bad results they just make it difficult or impossible to find the good results.

Best Regards,

PaytonA

Yeah, let us know in a few weeks if his professional guidance fixes things for you. He might fix it, he might not.

The medical Mafia hates it when patients intrude on their turf.

However, sometimes they're right and they figure it out when you don't. Far too often, when patients tinker with their own therapy, they do it badly. For instance, given control of their own pressure, a lot of patients would probably turn the pressure down to something more comfortable, but make their treatment less effective.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.
