oscar can 't read SD card on Macbook Air

Hi, just getting started. I have Resmed Airsense 10 autoset. I am trying to run Oscar on my Macbook Air running Ventura 13.4. I plug my SD card reader with the Airsense SD card into my mac and I can see in Noname the folders Datalog and Settings plus 3 other files (2 identification and one STR), so I know there is data on the disk. When I run Oscar it asks to create a directory and then asks to point to folder with the Oscar data. I point to Noname  and it returns an error message that  folder does not contain valid Oscar data. 

To check validity of the data on the SD card, I installed the SleepHQ trial package, where you manually drag data files from the SD card onto their webpage. I dragged the two folders and the 3 data files  onto their page and it accepted them. The results (screenshot) are attached, so I know there is valid high res data on the SD card.

Any ideas what's going on with my attempt to run Oscar on my Macbook? Things I tried: I checked that the resmed Airsense 10 auto set was supported. I uninstalled Oscar and reinstalled. I checked that all security/permissions settings were correct on my mac.

I too, had initial troubles getting data to load on my Macbook Pro.  I believe the message box is misleading/confusing.

It is not a Macbook Air issue.  What Oscar is looking for is the highest level folder, listed in the root of your SD card that was created by your Resmed Autoset, not something you are creating, nor any of the subfolders on the SD card.

OSCAR looks for two different locations.

One will be the location of the OSCAR_Data folder (usually created in ~/Documents/OSCAR_Data).

The other is the SD card. You want to select the SD card name and not an individual file/folder on the SD card.

Hi, I think I sorted it. It was not the privacy/security setting because I had already checked yes that Oscar could read removable disk. Rather, the problem was in the step before where Oscar asked to create a directory to write files. It turns out that the default suggestion in documents didn't work (long story but when I transferred all my files from my old laptop to my new laptop something went wrong with the documents directory. so in effect, I don't have a documents directory on this mac, which I need to rectify). Anyway, Oscar failed to create the suggested  directory in the suggested location and so the next step to find Oscar data on the SD card didn't work. The work around is to answer "no" when it asks to create the directory, and it then opens box to point to any location that you want. I made mine on the desktop (just to see if it worked) and it worked. I guess the issue was it wasn't obvious that the failure of Oscar to make the directory in its suggested location was then the cause of not being able to read the SD card. In retrospect, after not being able to read the SD card, the error message then pops up that the directory also failed to be created. I should have paid more attention to that.

So, off to explore the data now.
