With the pressure graph, it appears your first cluster of OA responds to your maximum set pressure at 14.0 and cleans up events for about an hour. The second cluster at 01:20 is already at maximum pressure. I'm certain the minimum pressure I have suggested at 8.0 is too low, but it's a big improvement over 4.0. Based on what I'm seeing here, I would have you at minimum 12, maximum 16. I don't want to push too hard and move you out of a comfort zone, but that's what I think we eventually arrive at.

thanks sleeprider. Remind me - OA?

It certainly is way more complicated that I thought it would be. I'm hoping the sleep consultant I'm going to see is as knowledgeable as you are....
Really appreciate your help with this.

Still having a terrible time with getting used to CPAP.

I just cannot sleep at all with the mask on :-(
I've managed probably max 2-3 hours use each night so far. Some nights I'm so tired I don't use at all.

Last night I really tried. After 30 mins of tossing and turning I gave up and ditched it.

Not ideal I know but I don't really know what to go from here?

I've tried 2 different masks now - not sure if buying another is going to help - we're talking over £100 each time.

Have you considered taking a sleep aid at night? What about the mask bothers you? Which masks have you tried?

Tried a cloth full face not on a phillips dreamwear hybrid.

Got to pay for myself so I can't afford unlimited trials when they;re £120 a pop.

Wish I could have just a nasal one but, alas I breath through my mouth when I sleep.
(Pretty sure ive got a deviated septum from years and years ago - something I might mention when I see the consultant).

I always thought things like sleeping tablets were bad because the relaxed the muscles even more and potentially made sleep apnea worse? Or is this false?

I'm talking about the lowest effective dose of melatonin. I use the kid's sleep gummies that offer 0.5mg melatonin.

What bothers you about the mask though? Just having it on your face is uncomfortable?

Have you ever tried the Andrew Huberman sleep stack? I've also found the magnesium glycinate / apigenin combo very helpful.

My recommendation would be to try a resmed f10 or f20 as they're dead simple.

Maybe I'll give melatonin a try

Whats the best measurement (on OSCAR) to measure any improvement?
AHI?

Some positives from last night - I managed 6 hours with the mask on.
AHI is 21 - it was 65 for my sleep study. 21 is just about in the range of "standard" OSA? Not great but hey 65.

Good progress or not good enough? Im hoping to get a few full nights data and see if we can cut down that AHI even more.
