pillar procedure questions
Hello,
I'm considering surgery for my sleep apnea. I've thought about UPPP, but am scared of the potential risks with that (swallowing problems, food/water coming up through nose, etc.). I've looked into the pillar procedure instead.
After talking with an ENT, he said that he doesn't know of anyone that does the pillar procedure anymore. He mentioned that it wasn't as effective as other surgeries. Does anyone have any experience with the pillar procedure or know of any doctors that perform it? I've read that it is much less invasive and less risky than UPPP and other palatal surgeries.
Thanks.
