Half Asleep, thank you for your response.  What do you mean by "pillow effect"on Oscar data?  

And is the cervical collar hard to get used to?

I have experienced a lot of itching around nose and mouth from mask.  It happens with silicone and memory foam materials.  I have heard of the strips but they are rather expensive from what I have heard and want other alternatives.  Is there a solution for unbearable itchiness ?

Silk mask covers. You might find them at Supplier #1, but it’s a cottage industry, so maybe also at a large site for crafts-y sellers.

Be sure to wash your mask silicon/foam every day to eliminate oils. I also wash my face well before bed. I use baby shampoo for both. Hopefully, it’s something on the surface that you can clean off.

There can be alot of contaminants in the house that might end up on a mask, including cat dander, dead skin, dust from a grubby household air source…

You might also try Benadryl cream or generic substitute in the morning. It is anti-itch. It also comes in a handy tube used for mosquito bites. Even tea tree oil might help you out after you take off your mask in the morning.

My favorite Benadryl is the spray, but not on the face! I use it for bites, hives, rashes, and the dog. Zap. Zap.

I get neck discomfort as well as nasal stuffiness as a result of my CPAP therapy .  I have heard that cervical collars work but are they hard to get used to?  Anyone have a particular one they would recommend that is not too pricey and that has worked well?     Are there any downsides of wearing a cervical collar each night to bed?

It was easy to get accustomed to wearing, especially when I was able to reduce therapy pressure due to reduced events.

That same big online shopping company also sells the Caldera Releaf, which is what I and several others here use. It's considered a "neck rest" (a travel neck pillow kind of thing) rather than a soft cervical collar, but does the same job and I find it much more comfortable to wear than the medical type. It comes in two sizes and several colors.

When I had positional apnea I tried numerous neck collars.  I like the Caldera Releaf Collar the best by far.  It held my chin up as well as any of the others but was way more comfortable. I got mine on Amazon too.
