sleepyhead vs rescan

sleepyhead vs rescan
I downloaded the data from a ResMed S9 SD card to computer from for first time analysis. It has accumulated data from 2014. The Rescan software I installed (v5.6) showed significant numbers of AHI from ranging daily from 7-35 or so. I downloaded the sleepyhead software and it shows the utilization data and shows AHIs at zero, "you are perfect." What gives? Also is there a link to setting up S9 to collect more data on SD card? What would be key indicators other than settings, mean pressures, AHI and utilization info. Thanks.

Welcome
Let's begin with which S9 you have. Look just above the start button... Does it say Autoset? or?
Please edit your profile using your control panel (top of page to specify exactly the machine you have.)

If I understand what you're asking, the answer is No.

As for sleepyhead -- don't know. There may be a bug in it if it's a later version.

Thanks. It says escape auto.

The escape auto has only limited data collection ability. You'll not see things like pressure versus time; or flow versus time.
It's capable only of compliance data and limited efficacy data. Known as a "brick"

Hi bajacobs,
Welcome to Apnea Board!
Unfortunately, as just Mongo said, you have been given what we call a "brick", a machine with limited data capability.

If you are one that wants to monitor your data as most of us are, then you may want to consider returning that machine for a fully data capable Apap.
Here is a link to guide you on the machines available, and what to avoid.

I don't know the full story or where you got your machine, but if a DME gave this to you, return it.
Insurance will pay the same for that machine as they will a data capable one.
They just make more profit by giving you a lesser machine.

EDIT: Just reread your post. Have you had this machine since 2014?

I'm not sure of original date, but data collected since August, 2014. I don't remember adding card, so probably is correct. What is usual replacement lifespan?

Insurance usually will replace after 5 years, but the life span of a machine can be a lot longer.
