what is your percentage of days of ahi 5 or greater?

what is your percentage of days of ahi 5 or greater?
Thinking-about in the right side 'navigation' panel, under 'records', sleepyhead tells me that I've used my machine for 526 days, of which 156 were ahi of 5 or greater.  that's a hair under 30%.  college statistics is too far behind me to know if that would be considered a normal distribution (or even if that's the proper terminology, but hoping you get my drift) or whether it's good, bad or indifferent.  consequently, I'm curious how that compares to others', if you're willing to share.

Mine is 5.9%. It sounds good but it's only a number. It would mean a lot more if it was associated with a time/date qualification. You could have had these when you first started therapy or you could have had them recently. One way the number is good. The other way it is not so good.

About 3 months in, my AHI has never been above 5...my highest has been between 3 and 4. Averaging between 1 and 2. The fog that I have been in has started to lift this past week. More concerned with restful sleep than AHI.

My AHI has not exceeded 1.2 in the last year since, with the help of this forum, I optimized my therapy.  It is under 1.0 at least 95% of nights.  Many will probably not achieve the consistently low AHI values I experience, but values above 5 about 30% of nights can probably be improved. I haven't looked back at your previous posts but if you have not posted SleepyHead data to get help from the forum I suggest you do so. Before I got help from the forum, my AHI was frequently as high as 10 or more.

Out of the last 302 days I had 5 days over AHI of 5. They all were during August when I was getting the machine dialed in. My average AHI the last 6 months is 0.55.

You'd think I'd be cruising along. You'd be wrong. I'm always adjusting for leak rates. Just when you think you have it controlled you have a bad night and it starts all over.

My average is below 2.0. In the last year my worst result was a single night at 4.3, but that was a short night with a single cluster of events that coincided with a period of large leaks.

it's starting to sound like my 30% of nights of 5+ ahi leave a lot of room for improvement.

The standard for being deemed treated is 5 AHI.  If you can agree to that, then you are untreated 30% of the time.  I would say you should strive for something closer to 3.0 as a goal, and if you manage to achieve that, look for an average of 2.  That's pretty darned good.

My average is 0.72, and looks like it's falling over time.  I am into my fifth month.

Mine was over 5 for 68 days out of 226 but for the first 3 months I was on an apap machine that would not treat my CA’s

So I had 155 days at an average AHI of 5.77 (highs of 33) the last 67 days on ASV my AHI is averaging 0.14 with some days of 0.0 Smile

Of the 381 days of CPAP use, I have only had a day over 5 and that was at the cusp of looking at changing from FFM to pillows and reducing EPR and pressure.

Apart from a day or two over 1, mine has mainly been below 1. But I have plain vanilla mild to moderate OSA nothing complicated at all.
