RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - SarcasticDave94 - 05-09-2024 This can be any position that causes your head and neck alignment to kink the airway. RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - mickapoo - 05-10-2024 Here is my OSCAR report from last night. I noticed the AHI was up again. Can anyone help me decipher the findings on the report? Wasn't sure if I needed to start a new thread for this... :/ Thanks for all of your help so far! RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - Narcil - 05-10-2024 it's better to keep it all in the same thread so we see history. Sadly the chart you posted aren't very useful, they have none of the important graphs. Please follow OSCAR_Chart_Organization so we can see what's going on. RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - mickapoo - 05-10-2024 [attachment=63831]I'm sorry about that. I read the link you sent. Hope this view is better! RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - Narcil - 05-10-2024 I think it shows you are still having positional apnea since they are fairly clustered but i'm no specialist. everything ive read says says sleeping on your back is the worst position because your tongue partially blocks your airway thanks to gravity. did you change pillow? RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - mickapoo - 05-10-2024 Yes, last night I did switch to a flat pillow. However, I kept waking up because my cheeks would fill with air. I had tape on my mouth originally but then after a while I wasn’t sure what to do so I tore a little bit off the corner so I could let the air escape. It didn’t do that with my previous pillow. RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - mickapoo - 05-10-2024 My “sleep coach” with the DME said I need to try a full face mask so I can breathe out of my mouth. Is this the way to go or does anyone have other suggestions? Is there any way to prevent the “chipmunk cheeks” from happening? RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - mickapoo - 05-11-2024 Here is my OSCAR data from last night. My AHI was much better!! Is there anything i can improve upon, I'd like to get it closer to zero if possible!! RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - mickapoo - 05-12-2024 [attachment=63924]Here is my latest OSCAR data. Is there anything I can modify so my stats are even better? TIA! RE: 10 AHI per hour with cpap - normal? - Deborah K. - 05-12-2024 I suggest that you raise your minimum pressure setting to 7 instead of 6. I can't see if or how you are using EPR but I would set it at 2 if you have not been using it and 3 if you have. |
