Please send me the Profile.xml file to the user account you want to open. Here is a Dropbox account to use:

Thank you. I sent it via Dropbox. I clearly don't know what I'm doing. When I open the file with Finder it comes out as I showed you, just a sentence with no reference to password. Then when I uploaded it to Dropbox, it is completely different. So I tried copying it back to my desktop but it always shows up as just the short sentence. Anyway, thanks for bearing with me! I'm out of my depth.

I understand.  Here is your Profile.xml file corrected.  I named it to Profile.xml.
Here is the download link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/52wflu2dlut29e3kayobt/Profile.xml?rlkey=o0kh376fgjc8m07k6i8y2b2w3&st=3ydr9vcp&dl=0

Follow the steps in the order I have listed them.
  1. Rename the existing current file to Profile.xml.bak. Renaming it allows you to keep a copy of the original.

  2. Download the corrected file to your user profile or download it then copy it to your profile directory.

  3. Start OSCAR and see if you can access the profile you want.
