RE: Accumulation of mucus causes arousals? - HalfAsleep - 05-31-2024 Well, that certainly was true for me. I don't have throat mucus ever since I had my septoplasty, though. I had post nasal drip, and it would make me cough. I used to keep Chloraseptic spray right next to my bed. I would quickly spritz my throat if a cough came on, while I was still half asleep. You can also use a Neilmed rinse before you go to bed, and see if that helps. I also find I get mucus if my humidity is set too high for me, or if it's too warm. I've experimented quite a bit with that. Aaaand....get an ENT consultation. |
