This article provides guidance for the selection and use of a soft cervical collar to prevent a common cause of positional apnea. Many CPAP users (at least 1/3 of forum members including the writer) experience significant
clustered flow restrictions, hypopnea, and obstructive apnea that do not respond to pressure due
to misalignment and restriction of the airway caused by tucking the chin down toward the chest
