AQUIRED OXIMETER, WAS TOLD WOULD BE COMPATIBLE WITH MY MAC. IN NEED OF SET UP HELP
Hi guys and gals.

I just acquired a new oxygen and pulse device, the CONTEC CMS501.  Although I was told this device would be compatible with my Macbook Pro, I have been unsuccessful in setting up the items to work together.

I have tried selecting the first two choices from the drop down menu and each time I try to complete the process I get the message that my device can not be found.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Plmnb

You need to download and install the silicon labs Mac driver

Try here

It's compatible with Mac's in the sense you can use OSCAR to import the data.
If you haven't already done so, download and install the updated drivers listed in Post #2.

If your looking for the SpO2 Assistant software for Mac, I have not found a version that works properly.  So your best bet would be to download OSCAR and use that to import your oximeter data.

Jeff, have you tried the Torontek software that they post at http://torontek.com/product/torontek-b400 ?

If you have, please post your experience with it, so I can know whether or not to keep mentioning it.

Yes, I have.  The graph's work but the times are all off using the Mac version. Almost seem arbitrary.
The date is wonky in the Mac version also.

A screenshot from the Mac version:

And from the Windows version:

Both of the attachments are the same data d/l from the unit using the cable.
Couldn't find any settings for time zone or date either.
The Mac app is painfully slow when doing anything and I was also getting a lot of "hangs" (spinning beach ball) every time I tried to do something.

Doesn't look like anyone has touched the app since ~2017.  But the Windows version works just fine, even in a VM.

Thanks for checking. That is a disappointment.

Now we really must make our import bullet-proof and clean.
