RE: AS11 AutoSet auto update
Let's hope the update does something useful, instead of disabling MyAir (that might have been something useful.).

RE: AS11 AutoSet auto update
Device update 5
Release date:
The week of April 15, 2024

Release #:
SW04600.11.8.0.0

What’s new?

Humidifier Firmware Update
Provides software improvements intended to help reduce the occurrence of humidification error messages.

AcousticSignal

ResMed Air11™ now supports an optional toggle, AcousticSignal, which uses the acoustic sensor on the device to capture the sound characteristics from the mask. The sound characteristics from the mask are processed on the device into a digital signature which is then sent to the cloud. No sound or speech is transmitted by the device.

The collection of sound characteristics will aid ResMed in the development of new features.

If users would like to opt-out, they can do so at any time by navigating to the ‘More’ menu from their device's Home Screen and setting the AcousticSignal toggle to off.

RE: AS11 AutoSet auto update
How are these updates exactly pushed and how long do they take? A few minutes, hours, days, weeks?

Normally I'm in airplane mode but occasionally I disabling it by accident. I still stuck on 4600.03.4.1.0.

I'd like to know when I should re-enable Airplane mode. Additionally, perhaps my A11 for whatever reason isn't eligible for updates in my region?

RE: AS11 AutoSet auto update
They are pushed as OTA updates over 4G/5G. If you have reception bars then you should get the update when you're approved for it.

How long to they take to what? update to your device? could be weeks or years, they do staggered releases so they add machines to it slowly. once your serial number has been added to the list of approved devices you should receive it next time your device checks for an update which i have no idea how often it does.

if you want the update you need to disable airplane mode for a couple days. and yes that is very possible. my machine is stuck on the 2y old software (the very first one that came out in 2022) for w/e reason this loaner isn't getting updates. the hospital maybe hasn't paid for the update service or just blocked it because they decided it wasn't worth their time.

mine says:
LOG (i assume it means sofware) 4600.08.6.1.0
CF (firmware) 4600.08.03.00

and i definitely have a modem in it, it's connected to the proper network and my air is working. so the update is blocked somewhere. haven't tried questioning the hospital or resmed about it.. yet.

Is there any notification confirming the completion of a download or update process?

I reached out to my DME provider, but they are clueless.

Additionally, I'm speculating that perhaps my region isn't eligible for updates due to the standard Resmed warranty being two years, whereas we've had our machines for three years.

Another concern is how these updates are delivered.

Are they supposed to be downloaded in the background or during idle periods?

Personally, I tend to power off my machine using a power bar when not in use. If Resmed only initiates downloads during idle times, that could explain why updates aren't occurring.

At least you have a newer firmware/software version, and your machine's update feature works.

RE: AS11 AutoSet auto update
yeah if you turn it off when idle you will never get the update, it's not going to try to update while in use...

no the update doesn't work on mine i have the first one that was ever released.

i read that you get a notification on the machine and an email too but obviously i have not received anything. not sure if the email is when it's available or when it's installed.

I used Notepad! Looks like it was a temporary glitch. Or maybe not. When using "Quick-Edit" all those codes appear. They are not present if you edit your post with FULL Edit.
